Mrs. Cheryl Day
Mrs. Day’s career began years ago with a passion for all forms of science and learning. As a Navy spouse for 20 years, she was afforded the opportunity to live all over the country with her husband while they raised their three children. With the encouragement of her family, she returned to her education and finished her bachelor’s degree Summa Cum Laude in Maritime Studies and Environmental Science in 2011 from the University of West Florida. For the last seven years, she has worked with a non-profit ministry within the community of Eastern Prince William County serving those struggling with homelessness and difficult economic situations. During this time Mrs. Day discovered substitute teaching. It was then that she realized that she had a passion for being in the classroom and working with students; she had finally found a way to connect her passion for science with her love of education. She has begun work on her Masters in Secondary Education.
