Dear HFCS Families,
Welcome back! While school looks different this year, we are grateful for the chance to have our children interacting, learning, and growing in wisdom both in-person and virtually here at HFCS!
Our Faculty and Staff have worked incredibly hard to prepare for the demands required by our present circumstances and we truly appreciate their willingness and their commitment to Catholic education. In addition, we appreciate your devotion to giving your family a Catholic education in these uncertain times.
This school year, we have three experienced members returning to serve on the board: Mrs. Molly Twiford – Vice President, Mrs. Tara Pearson – Secretary, and Mrs. Liesl Balatsenko – Used Uniform Coordinator, and Jennifer Prasarn – Box Tops Coordinator. Our new faces on the PTO this year are Mrs. Kathleen Miller – President, Mrs. Claudia Moreno Toledo – Treasurer, and Mrs. Christine Huber – Volunteer Coordinator. Although event planning during a pandemic presents some challenges, we look forward to this school year and aspire to make it as memorable and enjoyable a year as we can for our Falcon Families!

If you have comments, questions, feedback, suggestions, ideas, etc., know that we are here to listen and help in any way we can. Vice President – Molly Twiford
Our PTO Vice President this year, is Molly Twiford. Molly and her husband, Larry, have 2 boys, Wyatt, in 4th Grade and Logan, who is in 2nd Grade. As always, Molly is excited about all of the great family events planned for this school year! More school pride, interaction, families, friendships, unity, and participation are what Molly knows will make our school and PTO thrive even more this year! Please know that Molly is always open to hearing how you think our PTO can help make our school the best!
Treasurer – Claudia Moreno Toledo
Our PTO Treasurer this school year is Claudia Moreno Toledo. As a wife of 12 years to her wonderful husband, Henry Moreno, Claudia has been blessed with two sons, one of which is a Falcon in First Grade. For the past two years, Claudia’s family have been parishioners of Holy Family Catholic Church, loving to volunteer whenever there is an opportunity. How blessed Claudia feels to be part of the PTO! She is looking forward to working with everyone to have a successful school year!
Secretary – Tarasha Pearson
We are pleased to welcome back Tarasha Pearson as our PTO Secretary, who served previously from 2013-2015, last school year (2019-2020), and who is excited to serve in the position again for the 2020-2021 school year. Tarasha grew up in Mississippi and she is married to her college sweetheart Markee. Her three children are Lauryn (8th grade), Layla (5th grade), and Landon (pre-school). Tarasha enjoys reading, cooking, and jogging. Tarasha is happy to be part of the school community; her favorite event is watching the children display their artistry in the annual talent show. Psalm 23 has always been a source of comfort and inspiration for her daily life. As she continues in her position, she knows the Lord will shepherd her in her duties as a wife, a mother, and in service to Holy Family. She is looking forward to another great year!

This school year, our Volunteer Coordinator is Christine Huber. Christine and her husband, Mike, have a daughter, Olivia, in Kindergarten this year. As a military family, Christine is very appreciative of the importance of a strong community. She is excited to help with all the fun events planned for this year and is looking forward to keeping the HFCS community active and engaged during these socially distant times. This year, Christine hopes that the PTO will bring hope, energy, and lots of smiles to our HFCS children, faculty, staff, and families!

This year we will continue to use our new PE uniform colors from last school year, Navy with White logos. You will no longer be able to wear or purchase the gray uniforms. You cannot mix and match Navy and Gray uniforms, only Navy PE uniforms are acceptable.

We plan to have Used Uniform Sales beginning 30 minutes before every General PTO Meeting; see dates and times below. Sales will end once the meeting starts. As we schedule Drop Off Dates, this page will be updated. If you have uniforms that your family no longer needs, please remember that you can drop them off at the School Office at any time. Box Tops News
Box Tops Update
Congratulations to Von Elegido (3rd grade) and Aidan Holycross (8th grade). They are the winners of the box tops summer contest. They each brought in over 100 box tops. Please go to the School Office to receive your prize.
The 1st trimester box tops contest has started. The class that turns in the most box tops will win a no homework day. Here are a few reminders as we start the new contest:
-Please remember that expired box tops are not accepted.
-Please remember to include your child’s name and grade when placing box tops in the collection box in front of the school office so that their class can get credit for the submission.
Our 2018-2019 school year goal is to collect 10,000 box tops to earn $1000. Every box top counts! Thanks for your continued support!
