Principal's Letter

Dear HFCS Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year. I hope and pray you are enjoying a restful, relaxing, and blessed summer. Our start date is just a few weeks away, and we have been busy planning for an exciting new year.

At Holy Family Catholic School, everything we do is rooted in a deep love of Christ and a commitment to living out our Catholic faith each day. We believe every child is uniquely created by God, and we celebrate those differences within a supportive and inclusive community. This year, our virtue is Hope, as we trust in God’s plan. He has great plans for Holy Family Catholic School, and it has been inspiring to see His work unfold. Our theme song, “In Christ Alone,” is a beautiful reminder that when we surrender to God, all things are possible. When we place our trust in Him, wonderful things happen. With that said, I am excited to share what lies ahead.

We remain committed to academic excellence by providing a strong, well-rounded education that both challenges and supports every learner. Our approach to literacy is intentional and rigorous, with a strong reading program rooted in phonics and morphology. To support this, we have adopted UFLI as our K–2 reading program grounded in the Science of Reading. In Grades 3-5, we will implement a high-quality literacy curriculum developed by Amplify.

In mathematics and STEM, we focus on building confident, capable thinkers. We are excited to introduce the Kiddom math program in our elementary classrooms as the foundation of our Math instruction. Through our developing Math Lab approach, students will actively engage in problem-solving and deepen their mathematical understanding. We are continuing to strengthen our science program, expanding hands-on, inquiry-based learning opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and a deeper appreciation of the world God created.

These new resources will help us provide consistent, high-quality instruction across all grade levels while meeting the needs of all learners. Our goal is to help every student build the skills and confidence they need to be successful in elementary school and be well prepared for middle school.

In the classroom and beyond, we emphasize lifting one another in times of trial, fostering kindness, respect, and a true sense of belonging. We are also developing a new student behavior framework centered on Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS). We look forward to sharing more details with you, as we believe this initiative will greatly benefit our entire school community.
